Our mission IMAN is an organization dedicated to expanding opportunities and exposure to Muslim women in the arts. Our network includes visual, performing, media artists, writers and poets and we serve as a hub for community information and interaction. Our aim is to empower, inspire and respect each other’s individual way of expressing ourselves and our faith through art. We are committed to celebrate our diverse cultural backgrounds, promote pluralism, build bridges and challenge stereotypes about Muslim women. Through our website, we strive to provide our members with exposure, support, resources, networking, exhibition opportunities and collaborative effort with community and art institutions. Our Goals 1. Members group exhibitions. Galleries/Museums. 2. Lectures /Workshops and educational resources. 3. Community outreach opportunities: -local art programs, interfaith work, museums, schools & cultural centers 4. Fundraisers. 5. Internship opportunities. 6. Apply for grants. 7.
